Laser Marking
With fiber laser marking, you can identify your products precisely and quickly. We provide laser marking on the flat and round surfaces of the products we coat and paint for you, after processing, according to your needs.
What Can Be Marked with a Laser?
- Part number, serial number and batch/lot information
- Company logo and product labels
- 2D codes such as DataMatrix and QR
- Scales, warning and direction markings
Advantages
- Permanent: it cannot be erased and is resistant to wear and chemicals.
- Non-contact: it puts no mechanical load on the part and requires no ink or labels.
- Precise: small characters and 2D codes are marked clearly.
- Traceable: it makes part tracking easier in defense and aerospace projects.
Marking on Coated Surfaces
On anodized aluminum, the laser creates a high-contrast, legible mark in the coating layer; for this reason marking is usually done after anodizing . It can also be applied to painted and other coated surfaces; the result varies with the type of coating.
What to Specify in the Technical Drawing
Marking content, character height, position and orientation, code type if any (e.g. DataMatrix) and the marking requirements in the customer specification (e.g. MIL-STD-130 in defense projects). For details, see our coating guide (in Turkish) .
